I've got a new RED Theory helmet and was looking at suitable headphones for going with it.
I notice the Burton catalogue has 2 different RED ones in it.
The Subwoofer Ear Pads - which are about £50 and have Skullcandy audio, and the Audio Ear Pads - which are about £25 and just say 'DJ quality low profile speakers'.
Obviously the Skullcandy ones will be better, but has anyone experienced either of them? Do they completely replace the ear pads in my helmet, or do they add in to the current ones?
Are there any other types of earphones that are compatible with RED helmets? I have expensive ear buds already (but they fall out when riding!) - so I don't want to spend a fortune for all the time I'll use them... although I do want something that sounds decent. |

the red ones dont get very loud and you hear loads of wind noise
not saying you shouldnt be able to here whats going on while riding
Does this apply to all the RED ones? I thought the standard ones would probably be a bit naff, but the Skullcandy ones should be better? I like the idea of having the MUTE button as a large touch button on the side. Volume controls on the lead are alright normally, but I can't imagine it being much fun with mitts on! |

Sounds good... what size are they - as I think they're size dependent on your helmet size? |

they are L. fit my large helmet.
dont think they would stretch accross the back of an XL.

I'm sure my helmet is L - but won't be able to check until I get home tonight.
I'll let you know... |

Got home late last night and checked my helmet. My girlfriend asked me what I had it out for. When I told her, she said that her brother has got me one for Christmas!
I did drop a few hints the other day to her, so she must've told him that I wanted one!
Thanks for the offer Mini - but sadly I'll just have to wait until Christmas |
